The Road Not Taken

As we go through life, there will be many instances when we may have to choose between two equally good alternatives. When faced with such a problem, it is difficult to make a choice because we cannot foresee what each choice will eventually lead to. We have to choose wisely. We can do this based on three factors. The first is the circumstances we are in at present. The second is the hopes that we have for future and the third is the lessons we have learned from our past mistakes.

Many years later, when we look back on the past, it would be impossible for us not to regret having had to give up one alternative for the other. What is important here is not to dwell upon the past but to learn to accept the consequences of our choice.
